Warby Parker.

Anyone ever heard of Warby Parker?!  Here is what I received in the mail 2 days ago.

Here is what was in it.  What?!  5 pairs (my husband is wearing one) of glasses to try on and see which one (or 2 or 3) I like best.  For free.  Woohoo!

And here I am, with my new hipster look.  These are the "Crosby".

I LOVE them!  What do you think?

I can't vouch for the quality yet...but after I order them I'll let you know.  Oh and by the way, these are $99...prescription lenses included. Can't wait!!

We have had the randomest weather lately in So Cal, although I shouldn't be surprised really.  When is it NOT random here? :) So the last few days have been sunny and about 80 degrees...in January.  But a few days before that it was cold and rainy.  Perfect weather for a cuppa. (tea that is)

See my sweet little birds nest ring?  I've had the nest made for a while now but decided I wanted it a little bigger.  So I wrapped a little extra and then made the ring.  It's messy, I might redo it, but I love it!

Happy December!  I wanted to share how we are keeping busy this Christmas season, with our countdown to Christmas and Advent activites.  Yesterday we started 

Truth in the Tinsel, hoping it will help in teaching our kids the true meaning of Christmas, which is not just pretty packages to us. ;)  We are also using the below "calendar" that I used growing up! Each day the kids pick an ornament to snap on the tree and then their Advent 'clue' that is left in the pocket tells us what craft we will be making and of course the corresponding Bible stories!  So fun.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Hope everyone had a super Thanksgiving! We enjoyed amazing food and great company.  (As well as a couple of turkeys. )

Wow. Last time I was at this spot we were a family of four...now we are a family of five! I really want to get back into this blogging thing so nothing better to dig my heels in with then some Thanksgiving.

 So today I am thankful for:

some quiet after a noisy morning

my 2 1/2 yr old sleeping in her crib for the first time in 8 months (even if just for a nap)

3 healthy babies (2 with a cold but none the less healthy)

finding the Frank Sinatra Christmas pandora station thanks to this sweet blogger

Last week we decided to pack a lunch and head to the Getty.  The weather was perfect for hanging out on the grass and letting the kids run around.  The flowers were still blooming...probably on their way out really soon.  Glad we could make it and get some pictures!

Beautiful, smoggy, Los Angeles
